Party day!

Saturday we had a busy party day planned. In the afternoon me and Bryce attended Brandi's Fisher Price Playdate party. She was chosen to host it through a place called houseparty. They sent her several toys geared for children 6-12 months and goody bag essentials. All she had to do is answer a survey, she also got to keep all the toys! What a great deal ;) Brandi has beautiful 9 month old twin girls and then another 6 month boy and year old girl also came to play. Despite not having a nap Bryce had a good time! He was enjoying being around other babies and playing with the room full of toys! I had a good time catching up with an old friend I had not seen in forever. It was a good time and we will have to get the babies together again soon! Bryce even went home with a new toy :) The aptivity monkey. A stuffed monkey you can put your iphone in and it will be secured for them to play the fisher price apps, which Bryce loves!

An hour after we got home, we had people showing up for the cookout we had planned at our house. Luckily Daniel went to the store and got everything we needed, and I had cleaned and had the house ready before I left. We had a really good turnout for the cookout. Glad all our friends came to enjoy the evening with us. It was a little cold to be outside playing cornhole so we all gathered inside and just enjoyed each others companies. Daniel also ordered the UFC fights later that night. It was good food and good times :) Hope everyone had a good time and we will have to do it again soon!

Bryce went to sleep about 9 pm and slept through all the loud noise and comotion downstairs. As soon as it got quit around midnight he woke up and had no intentions of going back to sleep. Finally go him down at like 1:30 am only for him to wake back up at 2:30 am. Not sure what was with him, how he could sleep through the loudest party, but not sleep when it was nice and quit and mommy wanted to sleep! Crazy kid ;)

Bryce 6 months!

My baby boy is 6 months old already (half a year) Wow how the time has flown. His 6 month check up went great! He gained 2 lbs and grew 2 inces. He is now 19.5 lbs and 27 3/8 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for both! Doctor said developmentally he was doing 8-9 month old things. I knew my boy was advanced :) Hope he keeps it up. After his doctors apointment he had to get shots. I always dred this part. He had to have one oral and 3 needle shots. He made it through the oral and 2 needle shots without a flinch or noise. The last one got him and he let out a scream, but only lasted 10 seconds. The nurse was amazed. He is such a tropper. There was an older boy in the next room screaming and daniel said "someone is not having a good day" and Bryce just laughed! It was so cute! Glad that is over with. Next appointement is at 9 months and no more shots until he is a year old :)

It is amazing to see him grow up and learn something new everyday. He is outgrowing so many of his baby items now and its sad to pack them up, only to replace them with bigger things! He is not yet crawling on his hands and knees, but he has mastered the army crawl and can get where he wants to be in the blink of an eye. It is usually after something he shouldnt have, like max's food bottle or bones, or the video games and surround sound on the entertainment center :) Still no teeth! His sleeping pattern got better, then worse, and now is heading back to the good side! He can sit up without support now :) He is eating a variety of fruits and vegies. We also just started trying to introduce the sippy cup to him. No more baby carseat, we are in the process of picking out and purchasing his new convertible seat! It will be easier to get him in and out of, since we no longer need to carry him in the seat places, He can sit in the front of carts now, and when we eat out he has a chair that hooks to the table. He is getting to big to fast.

its getting harder to get the pictures measured correctly since he wont sit still!

Busy Weekend!

We had a fairly busy weekend this past weekend. Friday we had a nice movie night at home, then Saturday started the madness! Saturday morning Daniel had golf lessons (which he is just now using and I got them for him last Christmas). As soon as he got home from golf we went to his dads to watch the Beech Grove Fall Parade and walk through the fesitval. We made it just in time before they blocked of the streets. This was probably the worst parade they have had yet. Big gaps in the lineup and nothing to exciting! We got a bag full of candy though! Bryce had a fun time watching all the cars and people go by and of course all the loud sirens! After the parade we walked through the festival and hung out at Papaw Peas for a while.

We had a few hours to spend at home before we headed to the last and final concert of the year! This was the most anticipated and best concert :) Luke Bryan and Jason Aldean. Once again thanks goes to my mother for watching Bryce for us. She was willing to keep him even though she was hosting a party at her house for the celebratoin of my grandmothers life! I was told he had a blast at his first bonfire :) Was sorry to miss this celebration, but the concert had been planned for a year. It was our usual concert foursome that went. This time we had cornhole and beer pong to tailgate with. The guys planned on getting hammered drunk that night and they did! They each had 9 beers in the parking lot and more when we got inside. We all had a good time. And the conert lived up to the hype. It was a great show. Luke Bryan did great as did Jason! The ride home was a little more peacheful then the last concert, until Daniel started puking out the window all down the side of his truck! He had told everyone he planned on getting so drunk he would throw up in his truck well at least he made it on the outside. Thanks to Seth and Bethany for spraying it off while he finished his busienss in my mothers front yard when we stopped to get Bryce! It was an epic night!

Sunday morning we had Bryce's 6 month pictures at 11am. We had a lot of cute ideas to use and I am sure Tasha will make them perfect. I always feel like we cram so much into our hour session and that he never smiles when we need thim to, but they always turn out great! I can't wait to see them! The pictures were running a little behind (not because of us) so Daniel was a little late to his first softball game, but he got to play half the first and then the second game. Me and Bryce finally made it home after getting pushed off the road and ending up on the wrong interstate. We had a few hours to spend at home. I was picking stuff up and Bryce was playing. When Daniel got home from softball, it was back out again. We were headed to the Moffitts to celebrate Tandy and Brodys birthdays. We had a great time. It is always nice to spend time with family! The party was a lot of fun. Its crazy how big all our nieces and nephews are getting. Growing up to fast, as is Bryce! Daniel was having so much fun he left later than he intended to get to his basketball game.

So after the party we had Daniels basketball game, they beat the team that always seems to pull off the win! And they didnt get any techs:) It was suprisingly the other team talking trash this time! Then we were finally home for the night! It was a busy day. The only time Bryce got to nap was on the car ride, but it didnt show because he was not fussy at all. Guess it was a good thing though because he slept 9 hours for me Sunday night! I am felling great today, because suprisingly I slept well too! It usually does not work out that way! well until next time.......

Vacation in Indy!

Daniel had one last vacation to use before the end of the year and my lovely boss let me take another week off as well. (I was hesitant to ask since he gave me 4 weeks paid for maternity leave) Daniels vacation started on Friday August 24th and lasted until September 4th. He took an optional holiday on the frist Friday and also got labor day off. It worked out he got 11 days and I got 10. We were going to go to Gatlinberg, TN, but decided to stay home instead. We did not actually stay in our house the whole time we did alot around Indy. It was actually a very enjoyable vaction, no beach, but we loved getting all the family time in!

Day 1: After I got off work on Friday some dear friends of our came to visit. Patty and the kids and Greg even stopped by. They wanted to see Bryce and us I guess. Bryce was napping when they got there and had no intentions of waking up until Daniel went and shook his playpen. He woke up grouchy of course cause he did not get to nap, but eventually settled down and everyone got to hold him and play with him.

Day 2: On Saturday Daniel was suppose to have a fantasy football draft party but that got postponed. Saturday night we headed over to Daniels dads to enjoy the Beech Grove fireworks, which had also been postponed due to the fireban in July. It was fun to spend time with friends and family. Bryce was not a fan of the pool that day, might have been a little chilly for him. He did enjoy the fireworks show, although he was so tired he fell asleep half way through it. The grand finale didnt even wake him up.

Day 3: Sunday of course is sports day. Daniel had 2 softball games during the day and basketball that night.

Day 4: Monday we attempted to go to the War Memorial Museum, but Daniel does not know how to read hours and they were not open. So we walked in the rain for nothing! So instead we went and walked around Circle Center Mall. I got some new sunglasses and Daniel got new riding gloves from Oakley!

Day 5: Tuesday we went and walked around the Canal and had Orange Leaf with Erica and Kendall. Max even got to go walk around. It wore him out :) Bryce and Kendall had fun enjoying the lovely weather outside!

Day 6: Wednesday we went to the zoo. Last time we went to the zoo Bryce was only 1 month old and as much as he loves Max and dogs I knew he would enjoy the animals a little more now. I was right he loved looking at all the animals. Since we went during the day all the animals were out and playing and not hiding. Daniel got to see his favorite, the cheetah up close. The lion was right up at the glass too, It had its eye on Bryce :) Bryce even got to feed the Giraffe. We watched the dolphin show, but Bryce didnt really pay attention until he heard a splash. We had a good time!

Later that night we had dinner at Hooters (all you can eat wings) with Andy, Erica, and Kendall. It was good spending time with them as we dont get to that often!

Day 7: Thursday we headed back to the War Memorial Museum. This time it was open and it was not raining! It was neat to walk through history. They even had current war information in there from 9/11 and Iraq. Daniel wanted to see if they still had his grandpa's name on the board listed as missing in action, when he is in fact living in Connersville. They no longer had the board up, but we did find his name in the system. Proud to know grandpa was a war vet with 2 bronze stars!

Day 8: Friday night was the Rascall Flatts concert. Thanks to my mother and sister for again watching Bryce for us. It was our concert foursome that went: me, daniel, seth, and bethany. We all had a good time at the concert. Rascall is my favorite band. All the peformers that night did a good job! There were Edens Edge, Eli Young Band, Little Big Town, and Rascall Flatts! Daniel got to hear his song Pontoon! The ride home was a different story. I have Seth telling me to jump curbs, Daniel telling me I dont know how to drive and that he could drive better drunk. Daniel and Seth both yelling they want Taco Bell. All I wanted to do was get home take care of my baby business and get to sleep because I knew I would be waking up soon for Bryce. Nobody else had that worry :) and of course 1 and a half after falling asleep Bryce was up to be fed. But those boys got their darn Taco Bell. It better have been the best Taco Bell of their lives.

Day 9: Saturday we had a pizza and game night at our house. Andy, Erica, Kendall, Seth, and Bethany all came over. We had some pizza and played Cranium. The girls kicked some but, even while tending to the children! Good luck next time boys :) Fun nights in with good friends are always the best!

Day 10: Sunday Daniels softball and basketball were cancelled due to the holiday weekend, but he still did something sports related. The fanasty football draft party took place at our house. I even made chocolate covered strawberrys that looked like footballs for the guys. Everyone seemed to have a good time. May the best man win!

After the party we went and did some shopping at Target, I had to get a toy box for all Bryce's toys downstairs. Also looked into a shelf for the garage, so I can finally get that place oraganized.

Day 11: Our final day of vacation we went to Edinburg Outlets to shop around. Daniel got some things from the UnderArmour store and a new pair of sunglasses from Oakley. The pair he has been wanting for a long time now! It was meant to be :) Bryce got some new clothes. And I of course couldnt leave without a Coach purse. First time I had purchased a purse from the outlet, and I will have to say I will deffintely be going back. 80% off you cant beat that! After 4 long hours of shopping we headed home. We have decided we need to go to the outlets more often!
