Indy 500 cornhole tournament!

On Sunday we went to my moms house for a cornhole tournament/cookout. We had 3 cornhole boards set up, 12 people were in the tournament. It was played like a Eurker (not sure how thats spelled) tournament. We used tally cards, nobody had the same partner twice. It was fun. Paid out first, second, and third place. Me and Daniel did not place in the top 3, but we had fun. The kids were playing in the sand box with trucks, and the big kids were out riding bike/skateboards. My dad smoked a turkey and we stopped half way to eat. I enjoyed being outside in the sun, Daniel did not enjoy that part. It was a great day to be outside, a little hot but most of us made it. Brian got a little too hot and had to go in and lay down. We think he had heat stroke. No worries Grandma Sandy stepped in and played his card. I think she did better than he was doing! Other than that, the day went great.

Congrats to Mr and Mrs Niles Hill!!

Our friend Niles got married on Saturday. The wedding was beautiful! It was held at the Blu Falls Center in Pendelton, IN. The ceremony was outside. It was a perfect day for an outside wedding. They even released doves. I thought that was really neat, never seen it done before. Then the party moved inside, where it was very well decorated. Everything looked great. I hope it was everything they expected and more. Welcome to the married life.....

Its Summertime....

The weather is starting to be really nice. Suppose to stay this way all week. I love it!! It has been a while since I last posted, kinda doing the facebook thing now and forgot about this. But not much as been going on. Saturday Daniel and I went and got our eyes checked at Ossip. They have some new technology so they do not have to dialate our eyes, instead they take like a MRI of the eye. It was really neat. Daniel went first and then he got to see me get mine done. Daniel has super human eyes. They lady said they are the best she has seen, she couldnt do any harder test. He has no problem reading the bottom line. Me on the other hand, I have to get glasses. I have a small case of nearsightedness. So we ordered some Oakley glasses that should be in this week sometime. I just have to wear them to read far distances and for night driving. Daniel said I look cute in them, but we will see. He could be just being nice.

Then Saturday night we went to the Moffitts to babysit. Today is Darnell's birthday. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY) and they went out to dinner and went rock climbing to celebrate. They kids were really good. We just played around the house for a while, then ate dinner, went to the park, played basketball, and watched a little tv. All three were really good. So easy, Daniel even snuck a nap in!

Then that night Daniel had plans to go riding with his friends. But on his way to Seths house he hit a big pot hole and his exhaust fell off and he ran it over. I had to go get the exhaust and he rode home. That ruined his night and Sunday. He was so mad because it was so nice out and he saw bikes everywhere.

Sunday me and max went to my moms to hang out. I had to take some pants over there that need hemed up. She is in love with her new sewing machine. Daniel stayed home, his dad was coming over to see if they could fix the bike. No luck! Daniel got up early this morning and took it to Mienike and they fixed the exhaust and Dan is coming back over later to see if they can get it back on. I hope so, if not there goes another $1000.

RECALL: my moms cornhole bags are on recall. she has found that she sewed some of them to close to the edge. she has started remaking them for everyone. so if you have a problem with yours give her a call. There is also a cornhole tournament at moms house this Sunday I think. If anyone wants to join in the fun!

Happy Mothers Day!

Happy mothers day to all the mothers out there! I kinda feel left out because everyone I know is a mother, except me. I am a mother in a way. Max is my baby! Anyway, we celebrated mothers day all weekend. Saturday we drove to South Bend to have lunch with Daniels mother, Betty. It was a 3 hour drive, but she was very happy we came to visit. We ate and Texas Roadhouse and then headed back home. Sunday we went to my sisters house to have dinner with my parents. My sister made steaks for everyone, except my mom she got 4 lbs of crab legs (her favorite) and she even shared a little with me! It was a good weekend with the family!

Lunch with Jenny and Caden!

I went and had lunch with Jenny and Caden today. We met up at Skyline, which is how me and Jenny know each other. We both work/worked there. She is one of the few I still talk with from there. Some of the people I am glad I dont have to see anymore, but thats a whole other topic. Anyway. Caden is getting so big. It was good to see them again and catch up. We will have to get together more often.

In Love....

Max has been pretty lazy lately. Kinda seemed depressed. We knew something/someone that would make him happy. I went and got Lucy today. They are so in love. Non stop playing and kissing. Its so cute. She has not been over since Super Bowl weekend. We better start getting them together more often.



And Daniel has found a new love. A truck. He will not stop talking about it! Im sure if you talk to Daniel you have heard about it. I will let you know if he ends up getting it. He usually gets whatever he wants. This is just a little more expensive then some of his other wants.

Happy Birthday Mackenzie!

Sunday was Mackenzies birthday party. Her birthday is the 7th, but the party was at Arbuckle Acres park in Brownsburg. It was a really nice park!Lots of play equipment and trails. Luckily the rain held off for just the right amount of time. The kdis were able to play and eat hot dogs and cake. Right when everyone was packing up it started to rain, but the kids were still playing. So the parents had some wet dirty kids to take care of when they got home. We took Ashlynn with us to the party, but we dropped her off right after so that was Brians mess!! The party was fun. The kids played the whole time, expcept to eat real quick and open presents. Mackenzie got lots of neat stuff: glitter book, fishing pole, tackle box, mermaid doll, camera, and Uncle Daniels crazy gift a wooden swing set. The guys decided to build their own instead of buy one, so she got to open the swings for the set. I think she was a little confused. She will love it when its all done though.

Saturday at Moms...

Went to moms on Saturday. It has become a weekend thing. Adrian and Ashlynn were suppose to have baseball games, but they were cancled due to the rain. Even though it did not rain until that night. Oh well! When I got there mom said she broke her toe, so I bandaged it up for her so she would quit crying about it. She was trying to get a hammer away from Alden and stubbed it. It was all black and blue, not broken prolly just jammed.

Anyway! All we did was hang out and watch some of the Derby. Also ate lunch. Most of us had wendys, but the guys wanted "chicken toes and pigs butt". They wanted Fast Wok, sounds gross. They didnt even have the chicken toes they were looking for. So Brian decided to throw a fit and not eat.

Ashlynn came home with me to stay the night. We went to look at swing sets for Mackenzies birthday, looked at a truck Daniel wants to buy, went shopping for a new outfit since she didnt have any clothes packed to stay. Then we went home and played for a while. Ashlynn got new makeup and was contantly putting it on. Then we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse. She ate all her Macoroni and Cheese. Seen some kids all ready for prom. Wish I would have pics, they were so funny. First a girl was wearing a dress with white flip flops, and no she was not planning on changing. She went out and bought new white flip flops to wear. Next was two guys in their suits and camo hats. WOW! It was so funny. After dinner we went to Meijer to buy a movie and Ashlynn got a barbie doll. Daniel was spoiling her. We went home and watched Alvin and the Chipmunks Squekeel and went to bed.
