Christmas is my favorite holiday, but this Christmas was even more special. It was Bryce's first Christmas. I loved being able to start lots of new traditions with him. We had several Christmas parties/gatherings to attend.
We had the Pea Christmas at Papaw Peas house this year. Loved it being so close and Dan and Jill did a great job hosting. There was a great turnout and it was nice being able to see all the family! Lots of good food and gift exhange for the kids. The adults did a white elephant gift exchange and it was alot of fun. We were divided up between girls and guys. Daniel got his breathalizer hes been wanting, so he knows how much he can drink and still drive. Not Smart :) The gift he gave was fun because he hid scratch offs in a gas jug and didnt tell until the end that they actually got scratch offs. Uncle Gary ended up winning $67 on them!
We had the UPS Christmas party at McQ's pub and eatery. Bryce's first time in a bar! We sat on the family side! He was a big hit at the party. He hung out with Steve for a good 45 min. He also would reach out and go to anyone who came near him. He was being very good and sociable. Maybe it was the beer Steve gave him. Just kidding but he was caught playing witha a bottle! Daniel had a good time catching up with the guys from work outside of work atmosphere!
We took a trip to Connersville to visit Grandpa Pea and sue. It was also his birthday so we all went out to lunch. It was daniel, bryce, and I as well as Dan and Jill, and Darrell met up with us when we got there to do lunch. We ate at Dunns buffett. I had never been there before, it was not to bad! Bryce was having fun. Papaw pea even gave him some ice cream! We had gotten grandpa pea a picture of Bryce with his bronze star and dog tags for Christmas. He loved it, he later called Daniel to tell him that it was the best gift we could have given him and that it brough tears to his eyes! I am glad he enjoyed it! Bryce of course slept on the long car ride down and back :)
Christmas eve Daniel was sticken with food poisoning (from Dunns the day before) He attempted work, but came straight back home. Poor thing. Me and Bryce went to my Grandma's Christmas that night without daddy! This year it was hosted at my Aunt Staceys house. She did a great job. As always nice to see the family that we dont see to often. Bryce had fun crawling around and playing with the wrapping paper with Matthew (cousins). It was a little weird being without Daniel and not being at my Grandmas house, but it was all still nice. Stacey even made chili for Daniel, because at a previous party he had requested it. To bad he was to ill to attend. I brought him some home, but he has not been up to eating it yet!. He felt so bad. He is not one to usually miss family outings. I was just hoping he was feeling better for Bryce's first Christmas. When we got home Bryce didnt stay up to much longer. Then he went to sleep and Santa came!
I was so excited for Bryce to come down Christmas morning. I was excited for Max too, but he started the year off on the naughty list because after we went to bed he found his presents in the spare bedroom and got them all out and was up all night playing with them. He even managed to open the package of tennis balls himself. I know Bryce is still a little young to understand, but he had a good time with opening his presents. He got lots of new toys, movies, and an underarmour outfit. Daniel was feeling a little better by now. We helped Bryce with his then we opened our gifts to each other. Well Daniel had already got his, I got him a spray in bed liner and a taneau cover for his truck, but he had one gift to open from Bryce. We got him underarmour sweatpants. I got a new North Face jacket. It is super soft. I also got a "T" necklace, a massage that I cant wait to use, and some Justin Bieber perfume! In my stocking I had some new scarves and a new coach wristlet and Daniel stocking had a booklight, Alladin the movie, and some Ellen undies! Bryce got to play with his new things for a while before we had to leave for the Moffitts! We headed to the moffits for a yummy breakfast and gift exchange. From there we went to my parents for lunch and gifts. Then we headed home to relax.
We had a great holiday and enjoyed spending all the time with our families and friends. Than you to everyone for all the lovely gifts and helping make Bryce's first Christmas so special! Day after Christmas we actually had a snow day so I got to spend even more time with my baby boy! Daniel had to go into work for a few hours, but then came home to be with us! By the end of the day I was getting cabin fever after being home from work for 5 days!
