Labor Day Weekend!!

Over Labor Day weekend Daniel and I planned a big cookout at our house. We had it Saturday night. It was our first big party at the house. We got to show off the new patio and patio furniture that we got. It was also the first time a lot of people had seen our house. We had a mix of family and friends come, it was a good turnout. I was glad to see everyone. A lot of them we had not seen in a while. We have had small get togethers at the house usually just my imediate family comes, but nothing like this. Last time we had a cookout we were underprepared. We had barely enough food and no condiments (because Daniel and I dont use them. This time we were overprepared. We had too much food and drinks. But its is better to have too much than not enough. We will just have to cook hamburgers everyday for the next few weeks. LOL! I hope everyone had a good time. I feel like I did not have time to sit and have a whole converstaion with anyone. I was running around making sure everyone had everything they needed and kept everything filled up. Daniel spent some time talking with his friends that he had not seen in a while. Seemed like everyone was having good conversations, a few games of cornhole were going on. The kids walked down to the neighborhood park. Thanks to Jeremy and Tyla the kids were not buging us the whole time. It was a good day.

After the party I cleaned up with a little help from Daniel. After the house was back to normal we called it a night and cuddled up and watched "the last song". It was a pretty good movie.

On Monday there was yet another cookout. This time it was at my sisters house. It was just a small get together with the family. She cooked chicken and a few sides. We sat around for a while, some people were fishing in her pond. Then we played kickball. It was boys vs. girls. Well needless to say the girls lost everytime. After the game Candace had the idea to throw JoAnn in the pool, but it backfired when Daniel threw her in right after. It was a fun time!

While we were in Brownsburg we stopped in at the Moffitt's. Daniel had seen them outisde when he drove by on his bike to my sisters so we drove down to visit for a few. The big kids were oustide playing and brody was taking a nap. Darnell was working on the swingset he built for the kids. It looks great! Daniel was suppose to be helping, but he is not too much the handy man. Tandy was inside planning Brody's first birthday. Her baby is all grown up! We caught up with them, brody woke up and we played with him a while, then Tandy was showing us all the new things they have done to the house. As always it looks great! I need her help to deocorate my house. Their house looks like it came out of a magazine. Before we headed back to the Gervais house Daniel took Darnels Harley for a ride. Thanks Darnell! Now I get to hear "I wanna Harley, I need a sport bike and a cruiser" It was good to see all of them again. We need to hang out more often.

Well until next time... here are some pics from my sisters cookout. I was too busy to take them at my cookout.

Toby Keith Concert!

Saturday night was the Toby Keith/Trace Adkins concert at Verizon. My sister planned a girls night out. It was me, my sister, my mother, and my sisters mother in law JoAnn. It was JoAnn's first ever concert and we were sure to show her a good time. We did a little tailgaiting before the concert. The four of us did kareoke in the parking lot to get a free shirt. We chose "who's your daddy" so my mom would sing with us. We met up with Candace's aunt Darla and Uncle Mike and their son. Well they sent him to the gate to wait in line, while we hung out in the parking lot. Mike stoped some guys to ask about a tattoo he had on his arm. Well we soon found out that him and 5 friends had just got wolf tattoo's on thir butt cheeks to represent the "wolfpack". For those of you who do not know that is from the movie "The Hangover". So they pulled down their pants and showed it off. We are pretty sure they were gay! Anyway we then headed into the concert, where we had front row in the lawn. We had fun people watching. Darla and Mitchel were cracking us up. They would comment on almost everyone that walked by. Darla said "we should have sings with 1-10 written on them as people walk by". To funny! But her best quote was "the longer we sit here the better we look" after seeing what else walks by! We also got passes for the Coors Light Deck. The pass got us free Coors Light, Sprite, or Coke, a t-shirt and a coozie. We could also see the concert from up on the deck. It was pretty nice, but we prefered our seats. It was a good time! So good, Candace left without her shoes on. We had to call her Aunt and make sure she grabed them when she left. We all had a good time! Hope JoAnn enjoyed her first concert. There will be many more......
