Our Redneck 4th of July!

The 4th of July is my sisters birthday and every year we celebrate at my moms with a cookout. This year was a little different. First off my dad and brother were not there. My brother is in Georgia for the summer with my cousin and every year my dad plays in a charity golf tournament in Kentucky the weekend of the 4th and since this year the 4th was actually on Saturday he was gone. We traded them for half an hour with my grandpa Larry, who came up for a day from Georgia. We don't see him that often since he moved down there, so half an hour is better than nothing. It seemed wierd without my dad and brother there, but things just got more weird or redneck should we say. As we all know it was raining that day. So our usually outisde cookout and cornhole games was not happening. We still grilled out, well until the grill ran out of gas and my mom had to fry the rest of the hamburgers. LOL! The food was good though, and just like the night before we had food for an army and 2 families there. After we ate we sat around and played catchphrase. Well that got boring so we decided to bring the cornhole game inside. (You might be a redneck if you play cornhole in the house)We set the game up in the kitchen and living room. It worked and we played a few games before we gave up and decided to stop knocking the curtains off the wall. Then we went back to catchphrase. To end the day off we lit off some fireworks as we stood under a porch umbrella and the hitches of our two cars. No rain will ruin our day!
