July 3rd!

On Friday I was off work, but Daniel was not, so me and my sister took her kids to the Plainfield Water Park (Splash Island). It was not as warm or sunny as we had hoped, but it was warm enough. The place was big and had things for kids of all ages to do. They had a little area with fountains and little slides for little kids and big water slides for the older kids and me! Adrian was the only one tall enough to ride the big water slides so me and him raced down them. At first Ashlynn did not want to get her hair wet and was terrified to go down the slide, but she eventually warmed up to the idea went down the slide with out us near her and stood under the big dumping bucket that dropped water every 5 minutes. Alden was also hesitant to get in the water at first, but then enjoyed splashing around. Adrian jumped right in. He liked going down the big slides and walking across the lilly pads. He also liked doing cannon balls in the lazy river. I did not achieve the tan I went for, but it was a good time in the freezing water! It was also nice to spend time with my sis!









Then that night we went to Daniels dads house for the yearly Beech Grove fireworks. His dad did not have the big party he usually has, it was just us and Tandy, Darnell, and the kids. Although there was only 7 of us, there was enough food for 14 of us! The kids swam, Daniel and his dad even got in the pool for a little while! It was not warm enough outside to be in the water.It was a good time! Spiderman even came!
