Beach Here We Come!

We got our honeymoon booked on Saturday morning. The pictures below are a clue to where we are going. See if you can figure it out!

ps: its Aruba!

Bridal Shower!

My bridal shower was this past Saturday. Thank you to everyone who came and thanks for all the great things. I hope everyone had fun! I had fun and it was good to see that the ladies from both families came together to enjoy one big party. Special thanks to those who drove so far to get there! And a big thanks to my sister for throwing the shower.

For those of you who were not there. The party was at my house. We ate snacks and played a few games. Everyone did pretty good on the "How well do you know the bride game". Some of the questions were kinda tricky. Amy won the word scramble game, Grandma Offutt and Jenny won the bingo game. And Patty, Tina, Kim, and their kdis won the beest dressed toilet paper game. It was a hard decision to pick the winner, but the jewelry put them ahead. Patty made a great cake! Thanks for that suprise. It was a good time!

Wedding Update!

Daniel has been on my case because I have not posted a blog in almost a month. I always get on others for not updating their blogs and now I have been slacking. Nothing much has been hapening. Lets see since Christmas we have celebrated my dads birthday, celebrated the Colts making the playoffs, and done a lot of wedding planning.

The wedding is one month away. Since the last time I updated the wedding stuff we have done a lot. We did our food tasting earlier this month. Got the menu all picked out. We had our second marriage counseling meeting. This time we worked on our family trees. We found out that our families are similiar in many ways. Stephen also pointed out that there is a theme of three kids in most of our family branches. We finally found the sweaters for the flower girls. So their outfits are all done. Now I just have to find bright pink boys shirts for my ushers. This one has been hard. So if anyone knows where to find fushia colored boys dress shirts let me know. I may have to settle with light pink. We met with our dj last week. Got most of the music for the main dances picked out. We have a few more to decide on. As everyone knows the invites were finally sent out. Me and my mom worked on those for about 5 hours one Sunday afternoon. Glad that is done! Hair appointments are made. We did a walk through at the church to find out how everything was going to work. All of the centerpieces are done. I believe my grandmother is done with all the flowers. We got our marriage license. Daniel also got his gun permit the same day. Kind of crazy! The bridal shower is this Saturday. I am excited to see all the ladies in the family. Daniel is mad that all his family is coming in town to our house and he won't be there to see them. The party should be fun. My sister has been planning the games and stuff. Its her first bridal shower so she was excited! Dan has been planning the rehersal dinner. We were waiting on our first time homebuyer tax credit to come in so we could book our honeymoon and have the cash to pay of the venues. Unfortunantly it will not be here in time. So yesterday we went and got a loan so we could get things rolling. We are meeting with the travel agent on Saturday morning to book our honeymoon. Still not sure where we are going. We have our passports so it will be out of the country somewhere. I just want warm weather and a beach! Then there are just a few more things to get done. These last few months have flown by. Not getting nervous yet, just trying to keep busy. Which is not hard.

Recapping the Holidays in Words!

Christmas Eve, as tradition we went to my Grandma Sandys house. Usually its a big crowd but this year it was Daniel and I, my parents and brother, my sisters clan, and my uncle donovan and aunt terri. My aunt stacey and jeff decided to go to Flordia and miss the rain on Chritmas, my cousin cori and her family were at Tim's side this year, and my cousin cole had to work. But we still enjoyed spending time with each other and telling jokes. The Gervais Family all looked so nice. They were all dressed up. Even though the kids looked nice they are still rotten. Alden was beating mawmaw up. (even though in the picture it looked like they were making out). Grandma made some good food and lots of treats. We opened gifts and the kids played with the kenex, just like every year. Me and my cousin Cole used to play with those every year too. Then we all got a kick out of Candace giving all her kids medicine. They loved it and wanted more. Its a good thing they take it, but bad they think its candy. I think Alden is addicted.

Christmas morning we woke up a little before 8am. The three of us walked downstairs and Max went crazy with all his new toys. He got a new bed and lots of squeeky balls. He did not know what to do. Call me crazy, but I dont have a kid so I get excited about my dog. He is my baby!! Then Daniel and I opened our gifts. Daniel got a new Makitta drill, Oakley golf shoes, a watch box, and a couple movies. I got 4 new charms for my Pandora bracelet. I like them alot. I also get to go on a shopping spree next week. We all know I love to shop.

Next stop was The Moffitt's. We had to be there at 9am. Tandy made us breakfast. Thanks it was really good! Daniels dad and Jo and Kayla were all there when we showed up. The kids already had a room full of stuff from Santa but they were excited to open all the gifts. The kids looked so cute in their pajamas. They were onsie outfits with their names written on the butt flap. Tandy always has cute ideas. Brody slept half the time, but the other kids were a ball of energy. They had already had lots of candy that morning!

After Tandys we were headed to my moms. My sister lives a few blocks down from Tandy and Darnell so we stopped by there because they were headed to my moms to. They were running a little behind. She had just started breakfast and everyone was still in their pjs. She said her kids didn't wake up until 9am. Must be nice! I tried to help her but her kids were out of control. Me and Daniel took Adrian and headed to my mom and dads. We sat around and waited for the rest of the clan to get there then we all opened gifts. The kids loved everything they got. Alden expecially loved his guitar that I got him. It was the first and last gift he opened. He wanted nothing to do with any other gifts after that one. He would not let it go for nothing. Adrian got his PSP and was playing on it, thanks to mawmaw for getting him games. Ashlynns favorite was her easy bake oven. She made us a cake to eat. My mom got a blanket from the Gervais family. When she opened it at first she thought it was just a blanket we had to explain to her to open it all up. It was a neat idea, that my sister did all by her self!! Just cause I wouldnt do it for her. We stayed for a while then headed home. Daniels alergys were acting up.

The last celebration was Sunday. My grandpa Mike, Francis, and Aunt Lisa all went over to my mom and dads to watch the Colts game and hang out. I think my Grandpa is headed back to Flordia soon. Daniel had already invited people over when my mom told me the plans so he stayed home. I ventured over there by myself in the blizard. We watched the game and ate pizza. I left after half time. The roads were getting bad when I left and Daniel was worried about me, but I made it home safe and sound.
