New York City!
Over the weekend Daniel and I went to New York City with some friends. Daniel and I were there last year, but this was Jon and Becky's first time. The trip did not start out well for them because they decided to throw a party the night before we flew out. Jon was hungover and Becky was still drunk when we left Indianapolis. When we arrived in New York Jon was fine, but Becky was entering her hangover stage. She threw up 4 times from the airport to our hotel. Needless to say she spent the first 4 hours in bed, while the three of us walked around. The first day we walked around the city, went to the store on 5th ave. Saw a $12,000 jacket at versace. Any takers? Then we went to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. Then on Saturday we tackled almost everything. We went to see the Statue of Liberty. A nice local man saved us money by advising us to just take the free farry to Staten Island instead of the farry that acutally goes to the statue. It is free and gets just as close to the statue. That was neat to see, Daniel and I did not get to see that last time. From there we walked to the World Trade Center Site. It was completely different from last year. The new tower is now under construction, so there was not much to see. They did build a memorial muesem to go into though. Then we walked to Little Italy and ate some Pizza. From there we shopped in Chinatown for my purses. Also fun! for me anyway, everyone else got burnt out quickly. All the shops I went to alst year were shut down for illegal trademarking. This time we even bought purses out of the back of vans. Its pretty scary, but worth it. Then we headed back to Tims Square to get some rest. That night was pretty simple. We ate at the Olive Garden after an hour and half wait. Then went to a bar to watch the UFC fights. Then called it a night. Sunday all we had time for was lunch and some game playing at the ESPN Zone. We had to head to the airport because we were not sure how long it would take us and some people were against the direct shuttle. So we arrived at the airport 4 hours before our flight, so waisted our day sitting in LGA. We all made it home safely and so did our luggage. It was a fun trip and we will probably go back again, at least for purses! Here are some pics of the trip.
