Updates

Wedding Update: Last Friday and this past Tuesday my mother, sister, and I went out researching all the reception sites I found on the southside that were close to the church. We narrowed it down to two and then Daniel finally put his opinion in and helped decide. He just did not want to do all the dirty work. It is not official yet still need to do some deal making and also make a deposit to save the date, but I believe we are going with Southern Dunes Golf Course. It has always been Daniel and I's favorite from the outside. The other choice was a Knights of Columbus less than a mile from the church. Although it was my sisters choice because they had a scratch off machine in the lobby and offered a discount at the Holiday Inn next door, they did not have as much to offer as Southern Dunes. Next step is getting my girls together and finding their dresses.

House Update: We still have not heard anything on the last house we put an offer on. It was a short sale so its up to the bank and they take forever to decide. Our realator has been on the listing agent to try and push the process. Today we found out that we have the best shot and they are no longer doing showings of the home. The file is in review, so we just have to keep waiting! I hate this waiting game. But we have not found any more houses worth going to see, but are still looking!

Race Weekend!

This weekend Daniel and I did not take part in any of the race activities happening around the race state. Instead we just hung around with each other. Friday we went to a cook out for a little while then came home and lounged around. Saturday me and Max spent most of the day outside enjoying the weather while Daniel went to Westfield to get some pieces off of his bike. Sunday I went to church and then took Max to play at the park by my moms. Daniel would rather waste away the wonderful weather playing video games inside. Then on Memorial Day we went to a cook out at my sisters house. It was raining at first, but ended up being really nice. Daniel and I introduced my family to beer pong and got my sister drunk. LOL! Then we played horse shoes, ladderball, and volley ball. It was a fun time! Today is back to work!

In other news, since Daniels bike was totaled, he is already looking for a new one. The time he has gone without one has been good though because it is more time we can spend together. If he had his bike I am sure he would be out riding in this nice weather. So as much as I like him to be happy with a bike, I enjoy the time we can spend together.

Take 2!

House bidding take 2! On Tuesday our realator called us and said she had found our dream home, well Daniels. It had a 3 car garage with a bump out. The garage was huge, but the house was small. The rooms were tiny, bathrooms were tiny, and closets even smaller. So we passed on that one. On the other hand we went back to a house we looked at a few weeks ago and put an offer in on it. We have like this one since we seen it but the taxes were really high on it and we wanted to make sure we could afford it before we bid on it. So I got the good faith estimate and we placed our bid. There is one other offer on the home, but the realator of the home has been bugging Marcy (our realator) since she mentioned we were interested. It is illegal to tell us what the other bid was, but Marcy heard from a birdie that our offer would be higher and may get us the house. We gave them until Tuesday to respond. Wish us luck! This is not a hud home and needs very little work. The downfall of not being a hud is that the downpayment is higher than $100, but its worth it. It is a short sale, which means it is listed lower than actual value in order to sell quicker. Here is a pic of the home. It has 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath, and sits on a corner lot. Lets hope second time is a charm!

Daniels Accident

On Saturday afternoon I got a call from Daniel saying he wrecked his bike on the interstate. I thought he was joking because he was the one who called and was pretty calm on the phone. It was no joke though. He was riding on 65 S with his friends and a car came across 3 lanes and cut in front of him and nearly clipped the front of his bike. He had to put the bike down going 60mph or hit the median. The other vehicle just kept going. He was taken to the hospital because he was going so fast when the impact occured. His friends and dad loaded the bike up in the back of his dads truck. I got to the hospital in like 10 min. with the help of directions from my mother. He got really lucky and walked away from the accident with a cut on his knee and shoulder where the impact had gone through his riding jacket. If he was not wearing his jacket and helmet the damages would have been a lot worse. He was mad they cut up his favorite jeans and shirt. He was also more worried about if his bike was ok than if he was ok. He has been sore the last couple days and the doctor advised him not to work for the next few days because he cannot bend his knee or the cut will never heal. The cut on his knee was one layer of skin away from stitches but because there were cuts around the deeper one they did not sew it up in order to not irrate the other cuts. His bike is pretty banged up and he is mad he does not get to run it at the track on Tuesday. I turned it in to insurance today and suprisingly it will not affect his premium at all even if the police report lists it as his fault since the other car kept going. He gets reimbursed for the custom parts on his bike and his helmet. He should find out soon what the damages are worth and if it will be totaled out. We are very grateful it was not any worse and thank god Daniel is ok!

A trip to the ZOO!

Daniel and I were suppose to be in Flordia last week, but our friends decided to go without us because I could not miss my graduation on Sunday. So I worked most of the week and took a long weekend off. Thursday I went to the zoo with my niece. My nephew and sister went with his kindergarden class field trip Wednesday in the rain. So I thought I would be nice and take her on Thursday in the nice sunshine to make it fair. It still left out the littlest one, but he will never know.I picked Ashlynn up on Wednesday afternoon and she spent the night. We went shopping, colored, played rock band, put together puzzles, looked for bugs, and then went to sleep. We left for the zoo in the morning. I am glad we had better weather than my sister dealt with the day before. It was warm and sunny! We seen EVERYTHING at the zoo. The animals were very active that morning. The lion was roarring at us. The elephant was talking to us. The walruses were even getting a little frisky. Ashlynn did not understand but one was getting the other from behind. LOL! We got to pet the goats in the petting zoo and also touched the sharks. We also got to ride the carousel, the roller coaster, and a pony. Ashlynn loves animals and wants to pet them all. She kept saying "lets go pet something else now" She was upset you could not touch all of them. She even wanted to put her bathing suit on and get in with the polar bears. When we watched the dolphin show she was mad she could not swim with the dolphins, because the trainer was in the water and thought she could too. It was a lot of fun. Here are some pics from the zoo!
