"All I picture is puppies"

So last night Daniel and I had a "date night" we went to dinner and home depot to get a cieling fan for Bryce's room. We had some great talks during dinner. I love how excited Daniel is for Bryce to be here. Only 9 more weeks :) When we got home Bryce was moving alot and these days its alot harder. Daniel was watching the movements and at one point I said you have to feel this. So when he put his hand on my stomach Bryce had some big movements. He jumped back and said OMG that is so wierd. He said all he can picture is puppies. Like I have a litter inside me or something! It was the funniest thing. I love feeling him move (most of the time, sometimes it can get painful) Daniel on the other hand I feel is weirded out by the fact that there is "something" a baby (or puppy whatever he wants to call it) moving inside me.

We are both excited for him to be here and expand our family! Time is flying by and we are getting ready for his arrival. With the help of my mom and his dad the nursery is almost complete, just have to hang the fan! My shower is coming up next weekend, thanks to Tandy for planning it all! We have taken one class so far at the hospital, A healthy birth. We learned some things about the labor and delivery process, I got a massage from Daniel, and we had a tour of the hospital. Besides the fact it took all day Saturday it was worth it! Tomorrow we are taking a breastfeeding class, and later this month we are taking the newborn basics class, which will teach Daniel how to change a diaper (no excuses!!) Everything is falling into place...

Bryce's Update :)

Today I am 28 weeks, 12 weeks left to go! I spent the whole morning in the doctors office. Started off with an ultrasound. The pics are below! Everything looked good on the ultrasound, my placenta moved out of the way so we are all good there. Bryce is head down and his feet are in my ribs! Everything looked great on the monitor. He even opened his eyes for us! He weighs 2lbs 6oz. His heartbeat was 145bmp. He is a healthy baby! After the ultrasound I had to drink a glucose drink, wasnt to bad tasted like fruit punch! Then wait an hour to do blood work. In between I had a normal check up, everything went fine there. Everything is going great! Its almost over, I go to the doctor every 2 weeks now isntead of 4! We can not wait to meet him. Well until next time.....

Ringling Brothers Circus!

Saturday night we went to the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus with Seth, Bethany, Abby, Nick, and Landon! It was really neat. I don't remember ever going to the circus (but according to my mother I have been). I was amazed at some of the things that were going on. Of course there were clown acts, but there was also acrobats, tight ropers, elephants, horses, tigers, and more. The tight rope act was neat, they rode bikes across the tight rope with a girl on a board that was rested on both bikes shoulders. Crazy! The elephants were neat, They would lay down, dance on a small stool, and stand on one leg. Then there were these two men in a cage that went around in circles. I think they almost fell off a few times. It was scary, but neat. We really had a great time! Next year Bryce can enjoy it with us :)

Bryce's Update

I am 25 weeks today and I also had my four week appointment today. Everything is going well. I have gained a total of 16 lbs so far. Bryce is measuring at 25-26 weeks. His hearbeat was in the 160's and very strong. I go back to the doctor in 3 weeks for a check up, ultrasound, and glucose test. After that I have to start going back every 2 weeks for check ups. Its coming down to the wire. With the holidays coming, I know it will go fast!

I can now feel and usually see him move daily. He moves the most after I have been active or on my feet for a while and finally get a chance to rest. Daniel can now feel and see him moving around in there too. He thought it was wierd at first, but now embraces it. He just cant wait to have him here and hold him. Thanks to the Moffitts we almost have the nursery complete. Just need to get the dresser and a few more things. The Moffitts (daniels sister and brother in law and niece and nehpews) have given us so much stuff for Bryce. They have really helped us out. It is so cute to hear Brody saying "baby bryce". He has been good at handing down his things to him. We appreciate all they have done. I would also like to thank my mother who will be over soon to paint the nursery and help decorate it. The bedding I ordered came in. It is sports themed! Everything is coming together great with the help of family!

Christopher "Bryce" Pea

Well today we had the ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby! It's a boy! His name will be Christopher "Bryce" Pea. He is named after Daniel's late cousin Christopher "Cody" Pea. Daniel and Cody were very close and he is honored to be naming his son after him. Even more ironic is that Bryce is due within a week of Codys birthday. Everything went well at the appointment. Today was just the ultrasound, we have a doctors apt. scheduled for Halloween! Bryce is growing well and was moving alot during he ultrasound. He was moving his hands mostly. He would suck his thumb, he opened his mouth. At one point he was waving at us. It was amazing to see. You could see all his body parts, including his boy parts. His legs were crossed at first, but after a few pokes at the belly from the tech he kicked back and we could see. His heartbeat was 161 bpm, and he weighs 9oz. Today was such an amazing experience to see him and how big he already is. Now its time to start shopping and getting the nursery together :) well until next time, enjoy some pics of our baby boy....
